Grilled Figs with Mascarpone Cream and Balsamic Vinegar

This delicious dish is perfect for all those end-of-summer nights.  You can also do this with other stone fruits, such as peaches, nectarines or plums—it’s up to you!

What You’ll Need:

1 pound fresh figs (cut in half)

1 8oz mascarpone cream at room temperature

2 tablespoons of cream

1 keeping tablespoon of powdered sugar

1-2 tablespoons of amaretto

2 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar

 

What To Do:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees or fire up grill.

In a small mixing bowl, whip up mascarpone, cream, powdered sugar and amaretto until creamy. Set aside.

Cut figs or stone fruit in half, remove pits.

Roast for 10 minutes, if using stone fruit roast or grill for 15 minutes.

Place fruit on platter, dollop with mascarpone cream and drizzle with balsamic vinegar.

Serves 4
